My Story:
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I absolutely love it. I have found fulfillment and happiness as I’ve put my heart into living the principles of the Church. John 7:17 says, “If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” That is how I have come to the knowledge that I have. I have studied the scriptures and prayed and worked to obtain an answer from God regarding this Church. Countless times the Spirit of God has answered my prayers, filling my soul with conviction and peace. I know that Jesus Christ lives and He cares about me and everyone else individually. I want to spend my life sharing the happiness I have found with others.
When I was nineteen years old I served a mission for the Church in Brazil. I remember many wonderful experiences as I saw people accept the Gospel. I also remember experiences when people were angry with us for trying to share our message. In one particular situation a man was angrily trying to convince my companion and I that the Book of Mormon was not true. I responded, “God has told me that this book is true, so nothing that any man can say can change that.” I still have that same conviction. God has answered my prayers, and I know what is true, so no man can take that away from me. I encourage everyone to study and pray as well, and I am confident that God will answer. ”Ask and ye shall receive” (John 16:24). I have asked, and I have received.
I know that Christ lives, that He loves us, that He still speaks today.
