We have many common beliefs with other Christian faiths. One of the biggest differences is that we believe that God has not stopped speaking to man. This manifests itself in two major ways. (1) Mormons have a living prophet and apostles, who speak the will of God today. (2) Mormons believe in an open canon of scripture. Anciently, we believe God spoke to prophets scattered various locations, including the ancient Americas, as evidenced in the Book of Mormon.
